What your budget buys

Not what it costs to join — what the money turns into. Pick an amount and every platform with a recorded top-up ladder says what the biggest single purchase under it buys, in its own currency and its own wallet unit, and how long that lasts where a per-minute rate is on record.

Why nobody else answers this

It takes three recorded things at once: a top-up ladder with the tier sizes on it, a name for the unit those tiers are counted in, and a per-minute rate quoted in that same unit. Miss any one and the question cannot be answered without inventing a number.

Of the 38 platforms covered here, 22 publish a ladder this site has recorded. Fewer than that can be turned into minutes, and the pages say which and why on every row that cannot.

What the answer is, and is not

One purchase, never two. The answer is the biggest single rung the amount covers, and the change is printed. Combining rungs would change the bonus on several of these platforms, and which combination somebody would choose is not something the record can settle.

No currency is converted. Four of these ladders are priced in euros or reais. They get their own section, answering the same numeral in the money the platform bills in, because a stale exchange rate is the sort of plausible wrong number this whole site is built to avoid.

How far each amount reaches

The four amounts are not four views of one answer. A tenner does not reach the first rung of 10 ladders, and the number of platforms that can be turned into minutes rather than units changes with it too.

$100 reaches 20 platforms against 11 at $10. Every figure in this table is counted from the same engine the four pages render, so a number here and the page behind the link cannot disagree.

Sold by the minute, or as a pass

The 3 buttons on this page go to Jerkmate, SkyPrivate and CooMeet, and each pays me a commission if you sign up through it. They sit on the line saying how each is sold, by the minute or as a pass, and no figure on this page carries a button of its own, whether or not that platform pays me.

Sold by the minute, with nothing to prepay

These 2 platforms sell no top-up packages at all: a card is charged as the minutes are used, at the performer’s own rate. There is no rung for any amount to buy, so each of the four amount pages says how long the money runs wherever the rate is recorded in dollars.

Sold as a pass, not a wallet

This platform sells a period with a set number of minutes in it rather than units to spend. The price buys both together, so nothing here divides it by the minutes into a per-minute price that is never charged.

Scored, and no amount can answer for them

2 platforms in this site’s ranking have no row on any of the four amount pages, because nothing on file turns an amount into what they sell. They are named here in rank order with the reason, rather than left for you to notice missing.
